Multiple classifications

The classification and linked structured storage of all parts, occurs by allocating them to part families. In a company there will be different departmental views of the characteristics required for searching depending on the application of the information.

For example, the mechanical department is more interested in technical parameters, such as measurements, pressure, temperature etc. while the electronic engineering department would expect values like voltage, amperage and performance characteristics.

keytech PLM offers the flexibility, to optimally adapt the particular needs of the different departments to the structure and characteristics definition, so that they can be built up to address all requirements. A single element can thereby be part of many part families. keytech PLM supports multiple classifications that can also be available to some ERP systems such as SAP.
