Bill of materials

The automatic generation of the bill of material from the SolidWorks model offers significant time saving and reduction in error potential. keytech PLM adds even more functionality: e.g. the automatic alignment between bill of material positions and drawing positions or the addition to the bill of material of non graphical components such as packaging or lubricant, assuring the consistency between the PLM bill of material and CAD construction. The automatically created bill of material is required to ensure the product and the device parts arrive on time for production, assembly and delivery to the customer. The potential benefits can be very significant if you estimate how much time and money can be lost in the purchase or production of the wrong item.
