External references

External references in SolidWorks are a powerful tool for the development and maintenance of products. However they increase the complexity of the model and should therefore be used advisedly. References do not open up for the constructing engineer automatically. A complete image of all external references in keytech helps in this circumstance. References can be identified before the beginning of editing. Geometric references within the product are known for every user and can be reviewed during editing, changing and check-in.
