keytech Gets the Jury’s Vote at the Innovationspreis-IT 2012

This year, for the ninth time, the Initiative Mittelstand (German Initiative for Small and Medium enterprises – the SMB Market) awarded the Innovationspreis-IT (IT Innovation Award). The award recipients were selected at CeBIT, the world’s largest computer technology trade show. The jury honored keytech in the “DMS/Data Management” category with the “Best of 2012” award. This prize is awarded to companies providing innovative IT solutions and value to mid-sized businesses.

 

The Innitiative Mittelstand has been awarding the prestigious Innovationspreis-IT since 2004. It promotes IT solutions that are especially suited to the German SMB market. A jury of 100 industry experts chooses the best software solutions from more than 2500 applicants in 40 separate categories. The 20 best solutions in each category were awarded the honor “Best of 2012”. keytech was able to convince the jury and was voted one of the best document management systems for the German SMB market.
This year the annual award was under the patronage of Cornelia Rogall-Grothe, (Bundesbeauftragte für Informationstechnik der Bundesregierung) Federal Government Commissioner for Information Technology and IBM Deutschland GmbH.

“We are delighted with this recognition. Such a prize always encourages us to continue our development in a targeted manner,” says Reiner Heimsoth, CEO of keytech Software GmbH. “For 27 years our focus has been on the integration of CAD systems with systems that produce documents. We have become a specialist in this area. There are only a few DMS suppliers that come from a technical (CAD) background. The manufacturing sector especially benefits from our complete PLM and DMS capability,” added Heimsoth.

 

Version 13 of keytech’s premium DMS system will be released soon. Many improvements, such as the integrated project management module, will increase the value of keytech. With the release of the new version keytech is also increasing its cooperation with Siemens and Autodesk, two CAD manufacturers with whom keytech has been working for many years. keytech now offers interfaces with almost all leading CAD and ERP systems.
