keytech PLM V12 Software Enhances
Autodesk-Authorized Developer of PLM Software Introduces Interface Enhancements to Increase Productivity
Las Vegas, Nev, USA, Nov. 30, 2010 – Today at Autodesk University 2010, software provider keytech Software GmbH unveiled interface enhancements aimed at maximizing productivity gains for manufacturers that use Autodesk® CAD software as part of their product development process.
By enabling organizations to manage all their product-related data and documents more effectively, keytech PLM provides a framework for increasing innovation, improving productivity, reducing errors, and lowering costs.
One advantage of keytech PLM is its tight integration with AutoCAD®, as well as with Autodesk® Inventor® and other 3D CAD software, making it an ideal PLM solution for organizations that use multiple CAD systems. With keytech PLM, AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor users can now improve their productivity by automating routine, time-consuming tasks; accessing reliable, accurate design data more quickly; and storing their files in a revisionsecured vault of assemblies, parts, and drawings.
To better meet the needs of a growing number of product designers who use Autodesk Inventor software, keytech has introduced significant interface improvements in a newly released update of keytech PLM V12 software.
Highlights include: Loading AssembliesAutodesk Inventor users can now specify assembly structure before loading models into CAD, including “as-built,” “all-released-revisions,” and “latest” states. Loading an assembly structure directly with keytech PLM greatly increases performance. Support for Standard Parts, iParts and Custom iPartskeytech PLM now supports iParts, allowing designers who use Autodesk Inventor software to better manage reusable standard and custom iParts that can be reconfigured to different specifications for different purposes. Users can also now obtain full and correct BOMs (bills of materials) for standard and semi-finished parts through keytech PLM. Support for Semi-Finished Parts, Frame Generator and PipingThe latest update of keytech PLM software allows Autodesk Inventor users to take advantage of PLM capabilities to derive semi-finished BOMs when designing frame assemblies for machines, as well as full and consistent BOMs for piping assemblies. Improved BOM integrationDesigners can now transfer BOM data more easily between keytech PLM and Autodesk Inventor software, while excluding referenced and phantom parts. This allows Autodesk Inventor users to reorder and group components, and add non-CAD and service components to BOMs, easily and efficiently.
“The Autodesk community is one of our most important constituencies,” said Dr. Reiner Heimsoth, CEO of keytech Software GmbH. “Our PLM integration efforts reflect our commitment to the success of our customers who rely on Autodesk software to bring their products to market.” About keytech Software GmbHkeytech Software GmbH is a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software solutions. keytech PLM software helps manufacturers worldwide manage product data more accurately and efficiently throughout the lifecycle of each product, increasing innovation, improving productivity, reducing errors, and lowering costs. Commitment to excellence and depth of experience are the hallmarks of our business, which is entirely focused on meeting the needs of our customers. For additional information, visit keytechplm.com.
